Child Support

Child support in California is calculated using a statewide uniform child support guideline formula. The calculation is based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, each parent’s net disposable income, applicable deductions, and parenting time with the child(ren). The resulting child support sum is paid by the non-custodial parent to the custodial parent for the support and maintenance of the child(ren).
