The Tragic Loss of a Great Friend

On October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada at the Route 91 concert between 10:05 PM and 10:15 PM, 58 people were murdered and 546 injured by a lunatic who had no regard for anything.  One of those lost in this tragedy that will live on forever in our minds was Jennifer Topaz Irvine.  Jen was not just a great attorney who was my associate as well as my firm’s of counsel attorney, Jen was my friend who I loved like a little sister.

I remember the first time Jen called me  5 years ago on a case I had previously worked and I honestly thought she was calling to tell me I was being sued. Luckily for me she just wanted to chat about the case and our friendship and business relationship blossomed from there. Every day I saw Jen and she had a smile and energy that would always make you happy. Jen was a beautiful spirit who loved life and animals especially her cat Munchkin. She was a black belt in Tai Kwon Do, loved country music and being with her friends. The image we have used here represents a wonderful time in our firm’s history taken just last year with Jen.  Nothing can describe the hole that is left in our lives with the loss of Jennifer.  All that can be said is that we loved her and will miss her dearly.
